50:1 Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran!
# ق وَالْقُرْآنِ المَجِيدِ 1

|@ Disbelief in the resurrection and the events of the Day of Resurrection 50:1-5
50:2 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery), ‘This is a marvelous thing!
# بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَن جَاءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ الكَافِرُونَ هَذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ 2
50:3 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return!’
# أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَاباً ذَلِكَ رَجْعٌ بَعِيدٌ 3
50:4 We (Allah) know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us.
# قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ الأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَابٌ حَفِيظٌ 4
50:5 Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion.
# بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ 5
|@ Signs of Allah in the heavens and the earth 50:6-11
50:6 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack?
# أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ 6
50:7 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it
# وَالأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ 7
50:8 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper.
# تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَى لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ 8

50:9 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow,
# وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً مُّبَارَكاً فَأَنْبَتْنَا بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ وَحَبَّ الحَصِيدِ 9
50:10 and tall palm-trees with compact spathes
# وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ 10
50:11 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging.
# رِزْقاً لِّلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتاً كَذَلِكَ الخُرُوجُ 11
|@ The destruction of nations were signs of Allah not acts of “Mother Nature” 50:12-16
50:12 Before them, the nation of Noah, the nation of Ar-Rass belied and so did Thamood
# كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ 12

50:13 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot,
# وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَانُ لُوطٍ 13
50:14 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba’, all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized.
# وَأَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ 14
50:15 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation.
# أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ 15
50:16 Indeed, We created the human. We know the whisperings of his soul, and are closer to him than the jugular vein.
# وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الوَرِيدِ 16
|@ The death of the unbelievers. Their resurrection on the Day of Judgement and their condition 50:17-30
50:17 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left,
# إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى المُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ اليَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ 17
50:18 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present.
# مَا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلاَّ لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ 18
50:19 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say), ‘This is what you have been trying to avoid!’
# وَجَاءَتْ سَكْرَةُ المَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ مَا كَنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ 19
50:20 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat!
# وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الوَعِيدِ 20
50:21 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness.
# وَجَاءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ 21
50:22 (It will be said), ‘Of this you have been heedless. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp.’
# لَقَدْ كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ اليَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ 22
50:23 And his companion will say, ‘This is that which I have present.’
# وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ 23
50:24 (It will be said), ‘Indeed, cast into Gehenna (Hell) every deviating unbeliever,
# أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ 24
50:25 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter,
# مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ 25
50:26 who has set up with Allah another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment.’
# الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهاً آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِي العَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ 26
50:27 And his companion shall say, ‘Our Lord, I did not make him insolent, he was far astray.’
# قَالَ قَرِينُهُ رَبَّنَا مَا أَطْغَيْتُهُ وَلَكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلالٍ بَعِيدٍ 27
50:28 He (Allah) will say, ‘Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand.
# قَالَ لاَ تَخْتَصِمُوا لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِالْوَعِيدِ 28
50:29 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers.’
# مَا يُبَدَّلُ القَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا بِظَلاَّمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ 29
50:30 On that Day We shall ask Gehenna (Hell), ‘Are you full?’ And it will answer, ‘are there any more?’
# يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ 30
|@ The people of Paradise 50:31-38
50:31 And Paradise, which is not far away, shall be brought closer to those who were cautious.
# وَأُزْلِفَتِ الجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ 31
50:32 (It shall be said to them), ‘This is that you were promised. It is for every heeding penitent.
# هَذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ 32
50:33 Whosoever fears the Merciful in the Unseen, and comes with a contrite heart.
# مَّنْ خَشِيَ الرَّحْمَنَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَجَاءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ 33
50:34 Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity!’
# ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلامٍ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الخُلُودِ 34
50:35 There they have all that they desire, and with Us is much more.
# لَهُم مَّا يَشَاءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ 35
50:36 How many generations, stronger in might than they have We destroyed before them! They searched the land, could they find any asylum?
# وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشاً فَنَقَّبُوا فِي البِلادِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ 36
50:37 Surely, in this there is a Reminder for he who has a heart or listens attentively while witnessing.
# إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَذِكْرَى لِمَن كَانَ لَهُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ 37
50:38 In six days We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them and no weariness touched Us!
# وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ 38
|@ Remember Allah by making Zikr 50:39-40
50:39 Bear then with patience what they say. Exalt with the praise of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset.
# فَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الغُرُوبِ 39
50:40 And exalt Him in the night, and at the ends of the prostrations.
# وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَارَ السُّجُودِ 40
|@ The Day of Judgement 50:41-44
50:41 Listen for the Day when the Caller will call from a nearby place.
# وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ المُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ 41
50:42 On the Day when they will hear the Shout, in truth that Day they will emerge.
# يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الخُرُوجِ 42
50:43 It is We who give life and make to die. To Us is the arrival.
# إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا المَصِيرُ 43
50:44 Upon that Day the earth will be rent asunder from around them as they hurry forth that is an easy gathering for Us.
# يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعاً ذَلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ 44
|@ Prophet Muhammad 50:45
50:45 Indeed, We know what they say. You (Prophet Muhammad) are not a tyrant over them. Therefore, remind by the Koran whosoever fears (My) threat.
# نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِجَبَّارٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ 45
|@ADZ THAARIYAAT 51 The Scatterers – Ath-Thariyat
1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
# بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 1
$ The Day of Judgement; Allah swears that His promise is true 51:1-14
51:1 By the scatterers (the wind) scattering,
# وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْواً 1
51:2 then the bearers of weight (the clouds),
# فَالْحَامِلاتِ وَقْراً 2
51:3 then the easy runners (the ships);
# فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْراً 3
51:4 then by the distributors (angels), ordered;
# فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْراً 4
51:5 indeed, that which you are promised is true,
# إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ 5
51:6 and the recompense shall surely happen.
# وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ 6
51:7 By the heaven with its passages,
# وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الحُبُكِ 7
51:8 surely, you are in different sayings,
# إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ 8
51:9 and are turned away from him who is turned.
# يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ 9
51:10 Woe to the liars
# قُتِلَ الخَرَّاصُونَ 10
51:11 who are heedless in the immersion.
# الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ 11
51:12 ‘When will the Day of Judgement be?’ they ask.
# يَسْأَلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ 12
51:13 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire,
# يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ 13
51:14 ‘Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten!’
# ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ 14
|@ Characteristics of the righteous 51:15-23
51:15 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains,
# إِنَّ المُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ 15
51:16 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were good doers.
# آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ 16
51:17 They slept but a little at night,
# كَانُوا قَلِيلاً مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ 17
51:18 and at dawn would ask forgiveness,
# وَبِالأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ 18
51:19 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented.
# وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ 19
51:20 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth,
# وَفِي الأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ 20
51:21 and also in yourselves. Can you not see?
# وَفِي أَنفُسِكُمْ أَفَلاَ تُبْصِرُونَ 21
51:22 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised.
# وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ 22
51:23 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech.
# فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ 23
|@ Abraham and Lot, and the angelic visitation 51:24-30
51:24 Have you heard the story of Abraham’s honored guests?
# هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ المُكْرَمِينَ 24
51:25 They entered to him and said, ‘Peace.’ And he replied, ‘Peace, you are people unknown to me.’
# إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلاَماً قَالَ سَلامٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ 25
51:26 So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf.
# فَرَاغَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ 26
51:27 He set it before them, saying, ‘Will you not eat?’
# فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلاَ تَأْكُلُونَ 27
$ The angels tell Abraham and Sarah that they are to have a son 51:28-30
51:28 Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said, ‘Have no fear’, and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son.
# فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً قَالُوا لاَ تَخَفْ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلامٍ عَلِيمٍ 28
51:29 (Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said, ‘Surely, I am a barren old woman!’
# فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ 29
51:30 ‘Such, says your Lord, ‘ they replied, ‘He is the Wise, the Knower.’
# قَالُوا كَذَلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الحَكِيمُ العَلِيمُ 30
|@ The angels tell Abraham that they have been sent to destroy the nation of Lot 51:31-37
51:31 ‘Messengers,’ said he (Abraham), ‘what is your errand?’
# قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا المُرْسَلُونَ 31
51:32 They replied, ‘We are sent to a sinful nation,
# قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَى قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ 32
51:33 so that we bring down stones of clay upon them
# لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ 33
51:34 marked by your Lord for the sinful.’
# مُسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ 34
51:35 So We brought the believers out of that they were in.
# فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ المُؤْمِنِينَ 35
51:36 But We found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves,
# فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ المُسْلِمِينَ 36
51:37 and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.
# وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ العَذَابَ الأَلِيمَ 37
|@ The punishment of Pharaoh 51:38-40
51:38 In Moses, too, (there were signs). We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority,
# وَفِي مُوسَى إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ 38
51:39 but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying, ‘He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man!’
# فَتَوَلَّى بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ 39
51:40 So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy.
# فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي اليَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ 40
|@ The destruction of Aad 51:41-42
51:41 And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind
# وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ العَقِيمَ 41
51:42 that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes.
# مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلاَّ جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ 42
|@ The destruction of Thamood 51:43-46
51:43 And in Thamood it was said to them, ‘Take your enjoyment for awhile!’
# وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّى حِينٍ 43
51:44 But in their pride they turned away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking;
# فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ 44
51:45 they could neither stand upright, nor were they helped.
# فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنتَصِرِينَ 45
51:46 And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation.
# وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْماً فَاسِقِينَ 46
|@ The purpose of our existence 51:47-60
51:47 We built the heaven with might, and We widely extended it.
# وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ 47
51:48 and We cradled the earth. And We are the Best of Cradlers.
# وَالأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ المَاهِدُونَ 48
51:49 We created two kinds of all things, so that you will remember.
# وَمِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ 49
51:50 Therefore, flee to Allah. I am a clear warner to you from Him.
# فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ 50
51:51 Do not set up with Allah another god. I am a clear warner to you from Him.
# وَلاَ تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهاً آخَرَ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ 51
51:52 Similarly, no Messenger came to those before them but they said, ‘Sorcerer, or mad!’
# كَذَلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلاَّ قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ 52
51:53 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation.
# أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ 53
51:54 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed,
# فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِمَلُومٍ 54
51:55 But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers.
# وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَى تَنفَعُ المُؤْمِنِينَ 55
51:56 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me.
# وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الجِنَّ وَالإِنسَ إِلاَّ لِيَعْبُدُونِ 56
51:57 I do not desire provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me.
# مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ 57
51:58 Surely, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of Power, the Mighty.
# إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو القُوَّةِ المَتِينُ 58
51:59 The evildoers shall have for their portion, a portion like their companions (who were destroyed before them). Therefore, they should not ask Us to hasten!
# فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوباً مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلاَ يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ 59
51:60 Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised!
# فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ 60
