|@AL MUNAAFIQUUN 63 The Hypocrites – Al-Munafikoon
1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
# بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 1
$ Hypocrites 63:1-3
63:1 When the hypocrites come to you they say, ‘We bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah.’ Allah knows that you (Prophet Muhammad) are indeed His Messenger, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are truly liars!
# إِذَا جَاءَكَ المُنَافِقُونَ قَالُوا نَشْهَدُ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُهُ وَاللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّ المُنَافِقِينَ لَكَاذِبُونَ 1
63:2 They have taken their oaths as a cover and barred others from the Path of Allah. Evil is what they have done.
# اتَّخَذُوا أَيْمَانَهُمْ جُنَّةً فَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ سَاءَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ 2
63:3 That is because they believed, then disbelieved, because of this a seal has been set upon their hearts so they are unable to understand.
# ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا فَطُبِعَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يَفْقَهُونَ 3
|@The description of hypocrites 63:4-6
63:4 When you see them their bodies please you, but when they speak and you listen to their sayings, they are like propped-up timber. Every shout (they hear) they take it to be against them. They are the enemy be wary of them. Allah kills them! How perverse they are!
# وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ أَجْسَامُهُمْ وَإِن يَقُولُوا تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُّسَنَّدَةٌ يَحْسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيْحَةٍ عَلَيْهِمْ هُمُ العَدُوُّ فَاحْذَرْهُمْ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَنَّى يُؤْفَكُونَ 4
63:5 When it is said to them. ‘Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you,’ they turn their heads in pride and you see them go away.
# وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا يَسْتَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لَوَّوْا رُءُوسَهُمْ وَرَأَيْتَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ وَهُم مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ 5
63:6 It is equal for them whether you ask (Allah) for their forgiveness or you do not ask for their forgiveness, Allah will not forgive them. Allah does not guide the evildoers.
# سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَسْتَغْفَرْتَ لَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ لَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي القَوْمَ الفَاسِقِينَ 6
|@The contempt of hypocrites 63:7-
63:7 It is they that say, ‘Spend nothing on those who follow the Messenger of Allah until they disperse.’ Yet to Allah belong the treasuries of heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not understand.
# هُمُ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ لاَ تُنفِقُوا عَلَى مَنْ عِندَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يَنفَضُّوا وَلِلَّهِ خَزَائِنُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَلَكِنَّ المُنَافِقِينَ لاَ يَفْقَهُونَ 7
63:8 They say, ‘If we return to the City, the strong will expel the humiliated.’ But the might belongs to Allah, and His Messenger and the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.
# يَقُولُونَ لَئِن رَّجَعْنَا إِلَى المَدِينَةِ لَيُخْرِجَنَّ الأَعَزُّ مِنْهَا الأَذَلَّ وَلِلَّهِ العِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَكِنَّ المُنَافِقِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ 8
|@Possessions and children divert from the Remembrance of Allah 63:9-11
63:9 Believers, do not let either your possessions or your children divert you from the Remembrance of Allah. Those who do so shall be the losers.
# يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلادُكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الخَاسِرُونَ 9
63:10 So spend of that with which We have provided you before death comes upon any of you and he then says, ‘O my Lord, if only You would defer me to a near term, so that I could give in charity and be among the good doers.’
# وَأَنفِقُوا مِن مَّا رَزَقْنَاكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَ أَحَدَكُمُ المَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلا أَخَّرْتَنِي إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ 10
63:11 But Allah will never defer any soul when its term comes. Allah is Aware of what you do.
# وَلَن يُؤَخِّرَ اللَّهُ نَفْساً إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهَا وَاللَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ 11
|@AT TAGHAABUN 64 The Loss and Gain – At-Taghabon
1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
# بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 1
$ Allah knows our thoughts and sees everything we do 64:1-4
64:1 All that is in heavens and earth exalt Allah. His is the Kingdom, and His the Praise. He is powerful over all things.
# يُسَبِّحُ لله مَا فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ لَهُ المُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ 1
64:2 It is He who created you. Amongst you is an unbeliever and amongst you is a believer. Allah sees the things you do.
# هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ فَمِنكُمْ كَافِرٌ وَمِنكُم مُّؤْمِنٌ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ 2
64:3 He created the heavens and the earth in truth and He shaped you and gave you good shapes. To Him is the arrival.
# خَلَقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ المَصِيرُ 3
64:4 He knows whatever is in the heavens and the earth and He knows all what you conceal and what you reveal. Allah knows the innermost of the chests.
# يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ 4
|@ Messengers of Allah were disbelieved because they were human 64:5-6
64:5 Have you not heard the news of those before you who disbelieved? They tasted the mischief of their action, and for them is a painful punishment.
# أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَبْلُ فَذَاقُوا وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ 5
64:6 That is because, when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs they said, ‘Shall humans be our guides?’ They disbelieved and turned away, but Allah was not in need (of them). Allah is the Rich and the Praised.
# ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرٌ يَهْدُونَنَا فَكَفَرُوا وَتَوَلَّوْا وَاسْتَغْنَى اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٌ 6
|@ Disbelief in the resurrection 64:7
64:7 The unbelievers think that they will never be raised up. Say, ‘By my Lord, yes indeed, you shall assuredly be raised up! Then you shall be told of all that you have done. That is easy for Allah.’
# زَعَمَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَن لَّن يُبْعَثُوا قُلْ بَلَى وَرَبِّي لَتُبْعَثُنَّ ثُمَّ لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ بِمَا عَمِلْتُمْ وَذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ 7
|@ Losers and winners 64:8-10
64:8 Believe in Allah, and His Messenger, and in the Light which We have sent down. Allah is Aware of all that you do.
# فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَالنُّورِ الَّذِي أَنزَلْنَا وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ 8
64:9 The Day on which He will gather you for the Day of Gathering; that is the Day of Loss and Gain. He who believes in Allah and does good deeds, Allah will acquit him of his evil deeds and admit him to Gardens underneath which rivers flow, where he shall live for ever. That is the mighty triumph.
# يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُكُمْ لِيَوْمِ الجَمْعِ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ التَّغَابُنِ وَمَن يُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ وَيَعْمَلْ صَالِحاً يُكَفِّرْ عَنْهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِ وَيُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَداً ذَلِكَ الفَوْزُ العَظِيمُ 9
64:10 As for those who disbelieved and belied Our verses, they shall be the inhabitants of the Fire and shall live therein for ever. Evil shall be their arrival.
# وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُوْلَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَبِئْسَ المَصِيرُ 10
|@ Allah guides the hearts of believers 64:11
64:11 No affliction falls except by the permission of Allah. For those who believe in Allah, Allah will guide his heart. Allah has knowledge of all things.
# مَا أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَمَن يُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ يَهْدِ قَلْبَهُ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ 11
|@ The mission of Prophet Muhammad 64:12
64:12 Obey Allah and obey the Messenger. But, if you turn away, Our Messenger’s duty is only to deliver the Clear Message.
# وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَى رَسُولِنَا البَلاغُ المُبِينُ 12
|@ Put your trust in Allah 64:13
64:13 Allah, there is no god except He. In Allah let the believers put their trust.
# اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ المُؤْمِنُونَ 13
|@ Your wealth and some of your family are a trial for you 64:14-16
64:14 Believers, some of your wives and children are enemies; so beware of them. But if you pardon, overlook and forgive them, then Allah is the Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
# يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ وَأَوْلادِكُمْ عَدُواًّ لَّكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوَهُمْ وَإِن تَعْفُوا وَتَصْفَحُوا وَتَغْفِرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ 14
64:15 Your wealth and children are but a trial, and with Allah is a mighty wage.
# إِنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَاللَّهُ عِندَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ 15
64:16 Therefore fear Allah as much as you can, and listen, obey, and spend well for yourselves. And whosoever is saved from the greed of his own soul; those are the winners.
# فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ وَاسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا وَأَنفِقُوا خَيْراً لأَنفُسِكُمْ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ المُفْلِحُونَ 16
|@ Charity is multiplied many times over by Allah 64:17-18
64:17 If you lend a good loan to Allah He will multiply it for you and will forgive you. Allah is the Thankful, the Clement.
# إِن تُقْرِضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضاً حَسَناً يُضَاعِفْهُ لَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ شَكُورٌ حَلِيمٌ 17
64:18 He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the Almighty, the Wise.
# عَالِمُ الغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ العَزِيزُ الحَكِيمُ 18
|@AT TALAAQ 65 The Divorce – At-Talaq
1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
# بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 1
$ Divorce with kindness 65:1
65:1 O (nation of the) Prophet, if you divorce your wives, divorce them after (the end of their) menstrual cycle. Count their waiting period and fear Allah your Lord. Do not drive them from their homes or let them go away unless they commit a proven immorality. Such are the bounds set by Allah, he who exceeds the bounds of Allah wrongs himself. You do not know, perhaps after that Allah will bring a new event.
# يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَطَلِّقُوهُنَّ لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ وَأَحْصُوا العِدَّةَ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ لاَ تُخْرِجُوهُنَّ مِنْ بُيُوتِهِنَّ وَلاَ يَخْرُجْنَ إِلاَّ أَن يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ وَمَن يَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَهُ لاَ تَدْرِي لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ يُحْدِثُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَمْراً 1
|@The waiting period before the finalization of a divorce divorce 65:2-3
65:2 When they have reached their term, either keep them honorably or part from them honorably. Call two honest men among you to witness and give your witnessing before Allah. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day is warned to do this. Whosoever fears Allah, He will appoint for him a way out,
# فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ فَارِقُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَأَشْهِدُوا ذَوَيْ عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا الشَّهَادَةَ لِلَّهِ ذَلِكُمْ يُوعَظُ بِهِ مَن كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجاًّ 2
65:3 and provide for him from where he does not expect, Allah is Sufficient for whosoever puts his trust in Him. Indeed, Allah brings about whatever He decrees. Allah has set a measure for all things.
# وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ يَحْتَسِبُ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْراً 3
|@ Divorce, no harassment and kindness to a pregnant wife 65:4-7
65:4 As for your women who have despaired of further menstruating, if you are in doubt, then their waiting period is three months as well as those who have not yet menstruated. As for those who are pregnant, their term shall be the time they deliver their burden. Allah will ease (matters) by His order for whosoever fears Him.
# وَاللاَّئِي يَئِسْنَ مِنَ المَحِيضِ مِن نِّسَائِكُمْ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلاثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَاللاَّئِي لَمْ يَحِضْنَ وَأُوْلاتُ الأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَن يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ يُسْراً 4
65:5 Such is the command of Allah that He has sent down to you. Whosoever fears Allah shall be relieved of his sins and given a mighty wage.
# ذَلِكَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ أَنزَلَهُ إِلَيْكُمْ وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يُكَفِّرْ عَنْهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِ وَيُعْظِمْ لَهُ أَجْراً 5
65:6 Lodge them in your home according to your means. Do not harass them so as to (create) difficulties for them. If they are with child, spend upon them until they deliver their burden; and if they suckle give them their wage and consult together honorably. But if you both make difficulties, let another woman suckle for him.
# أَسْكِنُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ سَكَنتُم مِّن وُجْدِكُمْ وَلاَ تُضَارُّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ وَإِن كُنَّ أُوْلاتِ حَمْلٍ فَأَنفِقُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ حَتَّى يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ فَإِنْ أَرْضَعْنَ لَكُمْ فَآتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ وَأْتَمِرُوا بَيْنَكُم بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَإِن تَعَاسَرْتُمْ فَسَتُرْضِعُ لَهُ أُخْرَى 6
65:7 Let the rich spend according to his wealth and for he whose provision is little, let him spend from what Allah has given him. Allah does not charge a soul except with that He has given him. Surely, Allah will bring ease after difficulty.
# لِيُنفِقْ ذُو سَعَةٍ مِّن سَعَتِهِ وَمَن قُدِرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُ فَلْيُنفِقْ مِمَّا آتَاهُ اللَّهُ لاَ يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْساً إِلاَّ مَا آتَاهَا سَيَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ بَعْدَ عُسْرٍ يُسْراً 7
|@ Pride is a great sin, it was also the sin that barred satan from Paradise 65:8-9
65:8 How many a village has turned in its pride against the Order of their Lord and His Messengers! We made it a stern reckoning, and punished it with a horrible punishment.
# وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ عَتَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِ فَحَاسَبْنَاهَا حِسَاباً شَدِيداً وَعَذَّبْنَاهَا عَذَاباً نُّكْراً 8
65:9 So it tasted the mischief of its action, and the end of its matter was loss.
# فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا وَكَانَ عَاقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْراً 9
|@ Prophet Muhammad, a mercy for all the world 65:10-11
65:10 Allah has prepared a severe punishment for them. So those possessing understanding fear Allah. Believers, Allah has sent this down for you as a Reminder,
# أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ عَذَاباً شَدِيداً فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُوْلِي الأَلْبَابِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَدْ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكُمْ ذِكْراً 10
65:11 a Messenger reciting to you the verses, clear verses of Allah, so that he may bring forth those who believe and do good deeds from the darkness into the light. Whosoever believes in Allah and does good deeds He will admit to Gardens underneath which rivers flow where they shall live for ever and ever. For those, Allah has made a goodly provision.
# رَسُولاً يَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ مُبَيِّنَاتٍ لِّيُخْرِجَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَمَن يُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ وَيَعْمَلْ صَالِحاً يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَداً قَدْ أَحْسَنَ اللَّهُ لَهُ رِزْقاً 11
|@ Allah is powerful over all things 65:12
65:12 It is Allah who has created the seven heavens, and of the earth their like, and the Command descends between them so that you know Allah is powerful over all things, and that Allah encompasses everything in knowledge.
# اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَوَاتٍ وَمِنَ الأَرْضِ مِثْلَهُنَّ يَتَنَزَّلُ الأَمْرُ بَيْنَهُنَّ لِتَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْماً 12
