When it’s not Hajj season, you can perform Umrah, which is not mandatory.
Umrah is most recommended during the holy month of Ramadan when all Muslims fast, and it counts as Hajj. Umm Ma’qid narrated that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, “Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajj” (Hadith No. 939, Chapters on Hajj, Jami’ At-Tirmidhi, Vol. 2).
